We are delighted to support Cambodia’s secondary and post-secondary education through the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS).
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing funding for the project, titled Preparation of the Secondary Education for Human Capital Competitive Project, or “SE4HC Project.” It is in line with the Cambodian government’s strategy to develop human capital, which is essential for sustainable economic diversification and growth. The project also aligns with the vision of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) to establish high-quality human resources and promote a knowledge-based society in Cambodia. The outcome will be an enhanced efficacy of the secondary education learning system. The SE4HC program intends to accomplish the following objectives: (i) enhance access to and successful completion of high-quality universal secondary education; (ii) align upper secondary education with the skills needed in the 21st century; (iii) increase the quality of assessments for universal secondary education; and (iv) strengthen the connections between post-secondary education and the program. The loan amount for concessional ordinary capital resources is $70 million.
The project is scheduled to commence in April 2024 and conclude in April 2025. We are excited about the expected impact of this project.
